Prescription Ordering Time
The pharmaceutical industry has undergone massive change in recent years. Pharmacies and dispensaries often experience difficulties obtaining medicines in a timely manner. For this reason we ask that you allow 2 working days for Surgery staff to generate your prescription and another 5 working days for the pharmacy or dispensary to order, receive and dispense your medication.
Staff in our dispensaries, and in community pharmacies are experiencing abuse for delays beyond their control. Please be patient and treat staff with respect.

NHS Prescription Charges Increase
From 1st April 2023, the prescription charge for each medicine or appliance dispensed is increasing by 30 pence to £9.65.
The cost of pre-payment certificates (PPCs) are also increasing.
The new charges from 1st April 2023 are:
Single prescription charge: £9.65
3-month PPC: £31.25
12-month PPC: £111.60
HRT PPC: £19.30

New Specialist NHS Coeliac Dietetic Service
If you have any concerns about your diet such as ongoing symptoms or weight loss or feel you lack the knowledge or are struggling with your diet (especially if you are trying to manage several special diets), then please ask your GP to refer you to the service.
A new facebook group called Northamptonshire Coeliac Group has been set up as well as an Instagram page coeliacdietitianuk.
GP Enhanced Access - Pre-bookable Appointments available in the Evenings and Weekends
18:30 - 21:30 weekdays, 09:00 - 17:00 weekends
There are now more bookable GP and Nurse appointments available for our patients, making it easier for you to be seen at a time that suits you including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Enhanced Access is an extension of your usual GP practice, it is not a walk-in-service, and you will need to make an appointment through your usual GP Practice reception.
You will be offered a face to face, Telephone or Video consultation, depending on your clinical need.
The service is located on the ground floor of Highfield Clinical Care Centre, Cliftonville Rd., Northampton NN1 5BD. (ENTRANCE B)

GP Enhanced Access – LIVI
LIVI is our Online consultation provider. If you would like an online consultation, you do not need to call your GP Practice reception. Once you’ve signed up to the LIVI App, you will be able to access LIVI Online Consultations between 06:00 – 22:00 every day. You can choose to see a GP online the same day or book up to 7 days ahead.
